Le Rabelais es un restaurante del centro histórico de Valence. Está en una bonita plaza donde hay un mercado dos veces a la semana. La carta es extensa, hay pizzas que cuestan entre 9 y 12 euros, puedes probar la Savoyarde, con queso de la región, el Reblochon y crema, es muy rica, o la tatin, con manzana y nueces, unas recetas más originales que las clásicas 4 quesos y margarita. Luego hay risottos, cuestan alrededor de 11 euros, camarones con curry, marisco, caracoles o vieiras... Los pescados valen menos de 15 euros, hay una pequeña bouillabaisse, con varios pescados y patatas al vapor, y luego las carnes, entre 12 y 19 euros.

Las especialidades de la región incluyen setas, caracoles, queso Saint Marcellin, que sirven con pequeños raviolis de hierbas y queso. La caillette es un pequeño paté de carne de cerdo con hierbas, y luego hay criques, que son patatas ralladas, con tocino, hierbas y ajo, muy ricas también.
